My Work over the past twenty years has dealt with various narrative elements this has all but disappeared in the more recent paintings by recent I mean 2008 onwards where the work is just of the buildings and people around me.

The paintings at the Greys are of a part of Brighton I have visited and worked in during my 12 years in Brighton but I had yet to paint the Hanover area. The Greys pub itself is painted where I have had many an “early doors” after work. I was excited by painting this hallowed area and in some I have painted it twice. So excited was I by the view out of my flat window I painted it three times one in the evening and one at night and a third the original now sold shows the same scene in the morning. Which although not displayed is available in print form.
